Today, the bridge, which is closed to vehicular traffic, is on every visitor&#39;s itinerary &#38; is one of the most congested parts of the city. The Vasari Corridor runs the length of the bridge above the shops &#38; along both sides of the street. [This overhead covered walkway, almost 1km long, was built in 1564 to get royalty from one place to another on both sides of the bridge.
