The elephant statue in this temple reminds me of Wat Phrathat Doi Suthep Rajvoravihara,Chiangmai,Thailand.The white elephant had a legend.According to legend,holy relics discovered during the reign of King Kuena ( 1355-2385 ),were placed in a howdah on the back of a white elephant,which carried them to Wat Phrathat,then it dropped dead due to fatigue from long journey. The white elephant statue is still there and today many tourists visited the Wat Phrathat.
