After the death of his father Barbur, he had to fight with the rulers of Gujarat and Bihar to defend his rights. The second of these rulers was Sher Shah Suri, who was known also as Sher Khan. Rudyard Kipling taken three hundred years later this last name for the main Mowgli's enemy, the dangerous tiger of his famous Jungle's Book.
