Inhabitants of Mandawa are at present dedicated mainly to agriculture. Natural environment is a flat low land that looks like a semi-desertified savannah widely interrupted by labour lands, and spotted of sandy desert patches. Weather is essentially dry, but underground water is abundant enough for agriculture.
