The Wetlands is part of the South Alligator floodplain, and I enjoyed a wonderful Yellow Water Billabong cruise on November 12, 2008.
This was part of a two-day trip to the Kakadu National Park, which also took in the Warradjan Aboriginal Cultural Centre.
The Cruise started at the jetty off the Kakadu Highway.
The birdlife is immense, with thousands of birds of a huge variety of shapes, sizes, and species!
This is crocodile country - our boat passed many of these -small, medium and large sized! Most were in the water, but others were resting along the banks.
This was indeed a magnificent Billabong!
