This album shows the scenery, panoramas, and Aboriginal Rock Art at Ubirr, in the East Alligator Region, Kakadu National Park, 350 km east of Darwin, Northern Territory.

I visited this place on November 12, 2008, as part of a two-day coach tour from Darwin.

The Rock Art was beautiful, and a steep 250m climb in 40 degree heat to a rocky outlook provided superb views over the Nadab floodplain.

Ubirr is in the extreme northeast section of the Park, adjacent to the East Alligator River, and borders Arnhem Land.

It is reached from the Kakadu Highway, and the Border Store is the final point on the highway, at Merl.
