The images were taken on the Guluyambi boat cruise, starting near the Border Store, upstream to Cahill's Crossing, then downstream to a small beach at the edge of Arnhem Land.
The East Alligator River forms a natural boundary between the Kakadu National Park and Arnhem Land - a visitor permit is required for non-Aboriginal people to enter Arnhem Land.
This pleasant cruise on November 13, 2008, was part of a two-day tour by coach into the Kakadu National Park.
Many crocodiles were seen in the river, or lying in the sun on the banks!
Our guide explained many aspects of Aboriginal culture, including a demonstration of spear-throwing, and how spears and other weapons are made.
