<noembed><nolayer><div style="position:absolute; left:0; top:-100; display:none;"> The &#39;cella&#39; is more visible here<br> Sightseeing in Sicily picture - The excellent state of preservation of this temple is because it was converted into a Christian basilica in 597 AD by Saint Gregory. He removed two pagan idols from the temple, &#38; since one of them was called &#145;Raps&#146;, the Church was later consecrated to St. Gregorio of the Rape (Turnips). Subsequent restoration removed the basilica walls, but the arches, which were cut into the walls of the cella (inner chamber), remain &#38; are more visible in this photo. In front of the cella is a simple antechamber (vestibule) with two columns, &#38; behind it was a back porch where the temple treasures, votive gifts &#38; the archives of the temple were kept. </div></nolayer></noembed>
