<noembed><nolayer><div style="position:absolute; left:0; top:-100; display:none;"> &#147;Temple of Hera/Juno&#148; (450-440 BCE)<br> Sightseeing in Sicily picture - This partially restored temple is located on the SE corner of the rocky ridge, 120m above sea level. (There&#146;s a good view of the other temples from here.) It was originally dedicated to Hera, the protector of matrimony &#38; childbirth, but it is also referred to as the Juno Temple, Juno being the Roman equivalent. [We arrived at the site in late afternoon, close to dusk, so sadly, the light conditions were poor, hence there are many greyscaled or tarnished photos in this set.] </div></nolayer></noembed>
