This 60m long corridor (room 28 on the plan) is the most popular & monumental part of the whole villa. The floor mosaic of elaborate hunting scenes depicts a variety of wild animals being captured & put into cages, or being bound prior to being loaded onto ships destined for Rome, where they would have been shown to great acclaim in the great amphitheaters.
