<noembed><nolayer><div style="position:absolute; left:0; top:-100; display:none;"> San Giuseppe (St Joseph) Church,<br> Sightseeing in Sicily picture - which was built during the 2nd half of the 17th century, is located in Piazza IX Aprile, Taormina&#146;s central square &#38; popular meeting place. The gracious square has an expansive balcony that overlooks the sea, offering breathtaking views of the azure Ionian Sea, the ricky seacost &#38; bays, &#38; Mount Etna. Also in the square is the 15th century San Agostino church, now the public library. The square also leads to the oldest part of Taormina through the Catania Gate &#38; the Clock Tower. There&#39;s a castle on top of the hill on the right, &#38; the Shrine to our Lady of the Fortress, aka the Santuario Madonna della Rocca, is in a natural a grotto situated on the hill on the left.
