Caesar Palace Hotel - our hotel<br> Sightseeing in Sicily picture - was located in Giardini-Naxos (jar-DEE-nee NAX-osh), the beach resort 3 miles south of Taormina. There are a few expensive hotels in Taormina, but tour buses are not allowed in Taormina's steep narrow streets, so tour groups stay in Giardini-Naxos. There are free school buses that shuttle tour groups the short distance between the tour bus terminal & the town center. We were packed in the buses like sardines; thank gawd it wasn't far.
