Santa Caterina Church,<br> Sightseeing in Sicily picture - dedicated to St Catherine of Alexandria Egypt, is located in the center of Taormina opposite Palazzo Corvaja (visible on the right). It dates back to the mid 17th century although the sacristy may have been built earlier. The church partly covers the ruins of the small Roman Odeon theater which dates back to 21 AD. Some of the ruins are still visible behind the church.
