Amber taken its name from the goddess Amba, one of the several names of the Mother Earth in the Hindu religion. Another of Her names is Kali, and the Amber fort holds a small temple dedicated to this advocation of the Goddess. It's fully built in brighty white marble and is really wonderful. Unfortunately, photos inside are not allowed.
