<noembed><nolayer><div style="position:absolute; left:0; top:-100; display:none;"> Map of the Cruise<br> Scenery in Russia picture - The Moscow-Volga Canal heads north from Moscow and joins the Volga near a town called Kimri. From there it flows roughly NE to a town called Rybinsk. The Rybinsk Resavoir was created by a dam which held back the water. The Volga itself now flows in a south-easterly direction toward Yaroslavl. NOTE: Even though this map refers to St. Petersburg as Leningrad, the place is apparently often referred to by both names. One of our Russian guides explained to me why at one point in our conversation she referred to St. Petersburg as Leningrad. If the place is talked about in a historical context, she explained, people will often use one or both names. In other words, if the context has to do with Communist times, they will often use the name Leningrad, if, however, the place is talked about either in a pre- or post-Communist context, the name St. Petersburg will often be used. </div></nolayer></noembed>
