Playa Grande is the biggest, nicest and most known beach of El Tigre island (see my article at http://www.worldisround.com/articles/349935/index.html). It is located in W coast of the island, about 2 or 3 km from the Amapala port, where the arrival point to the island is located. You can see the coast and volcanoes of El Salvador from the beach. The sunsets are really amazing here. In the night, you can see also the lights of El Salvador's coast. The only discouraging thing here are the mosquitos biting you really insistently ... (more)
