In 2007, I visited Belize with two of my middle aged girlfriends. Although everyone told us to skip Belize City, I really wanted to get a feel for the country. We chose to stay at Hotel Mopan for a couple of nights and sight see the city and Caye Caulker from there. We had a great time and were glad we decided to include Belize City in our travels.
