After being damaged several times, the church was rebuilt in the 1700s & restored again in the 1920s. The bell tower, which was demolished during an uprising in 1648, was also rebuilt at that time. Today’s yellow medieval façade, with the adjacent bell tower, invariably draws the attention of visitors.
