Beautiful Mumbai and the nearby ancient Hindu Elephanta Cave Temples. I visited Mumbai (formerly known as Bombay) by taking the train from Goa in October 2007. I stayed at the Salvation Army Red Shield Guesthouse in the Colaba tourist district for 90 Rupees per night, about $2 USD which included breakfast! Other attractions I visited included the Chowpatty Beach and the IT computer district where one can buy computer books literally in the streets.
