My grandfather instilled the love of camping and fishing into our family. A few years after this trip, my brother and I were finally old enough (6 & 8)to go with the older folks. We would go camping every year with our Mom & Dad until I finished college( 1937-1951). The shortest trip was 4 weeks, and twice we went for ten.
