This ancient gate was built many hundreds of years ago and was marked as South Korea's #1 National Treasure. Unfortunately, in 2008, a crazy old man decided to burn it because he was angry with the city government. How he managed to torch this gate on fire in the middle of downtown without anybody noticing him is truly beyond me. But it's very sad indeed :( It is currently in reconstruction.
