Because we only had a few days in Tokyo, and there's obviously a LOT of things to see there, I was glad that we were able to at least see one thing that looked traditional. The 10-20 minute walk up to this gate in the park was pretty brutal, as it was very very hot and humid. It's the entrance to Meiji Shrine, a shrine built in honor of the Meiji emperor who ruled while Japan was beginning to rapidly Westernize
