Lake Taupo. New Zealand.
Lake Taupo is the largest freshwater lake in New Zealand and the Southern Hemisphere. It was created by a gigantic volcanic eruption in 181AD. The lake covers 616 square kilometres and at it's deepest point is 186 metres deep. It is surrounded by stunning volcanoes, bushclad mountains, and spectacular landscapes. Some of the best Trout fishing in the world can be found here along with many outdoor activities. This article contains a random selection of photographs covering the four seasons.
