If all the hype is correct, this Bhudda, carved out of sandstone and standing 71 meters high, is the world's tallest. But I think that the one that the Taliban dynamited and shelled a few years ago in Afghanistan would have been the biggest. But I dunno. We paid about 70 yuan to see this stupid Buddha up close, when we could have taken a boat ride for one yuan to an island in the river where we would have gotten a much better perspective.
