We traveled to Yosemite Valley via Highway 140 and the colorful Merced River Canyon for a final chance for snow and skiing on the last weekend of Winter, the first of Spring. Since there are at least two other Yosemite articles on my website, there will not be repeated, redundant descriptions again of all the epic features of Yosemite a third time. As for skiing, we were unable to see anything at Badger Pass, where snow, hail and rain mixed and skiing seemed silly. A storm dropped a foot of snow over night, which changed the Valley from a witness of snow on the peaks, foreboding clouds and blotted out landmarks like Half-Dome into a snowy Winter participant in Spring.
