"resurrection fern"
Churches, Temples & Mosques in Georgia picture - (polypodium polypodioides) This most unusual air plant gets its nutrients mainly from the air, as does Spanish moss. Most of the time youll find it clinging virtually colorless and almost invisible along the limbs of a tree. After even a tiny rainfall, such as we had the night before visiting this church, it resurrects, uncurling and reopening to the enlarged green vine that you see behind the Spanish moss in this photo. Try Googling the name: here is the best site I found: http://www.sfrc.ufl.edu/4h/Resurrection_fern/resfern.htm .
