The ornate Red Chapel on the right
Sightseeing in Northern Laos picture - features exterior murals with rural scenes. This small chapel, which had been named 'Chappelle Rouge' by the French, houses a unique reclining Buddha image with the robe curling outward at the ankle. (Dang, I missed that wahhhhhh.) This Buddha figure was exhibited at the Paris Expo in 1931, then taken to Vientiane, & wasnt returned to Luang Prabang until 1964.
