Nearby are the Seal Rocks.

The Nobbies Centre, managed by the Phillip Island Nature Park, is the area’s newest marine attraction.

From here, visitors may discover the secrets of the southern marine environment, view seals, sharks and dolphins via interactive displays and state-of-the-art cameras.

The Nobbies Centre is located in an area of spectacular coastal beauty. Also onsite are educational displays about marine life, a café and upstairs function centre. Coin-operated telescopes offer views across Westernport Bay and out to the Seal Rocks.

A 2 km (return) Boardwalk leads from the Centre along the clifftop to the Blow Hole Lookout.

I visited the Nobbies on Thursday April 30, 2009, which included the boardwalk.

From the carpark, I then drove along the unsealed 4 km dry-weather road on the clifftop, whence there are excellent viewpoints - from Seagull Rock Lookout, South Coast Lookout and Scotchman's Lookout, with amazing panoramas along the South Coast towards Cape Woolamai.

This road leads into the main Ventnor Rd, adjacent to the well-known Penguin Reserve and Penguin Parade.

The opportunities for coastal photography are magnificent!
