The lower, smaller cave (Tham Ting), is open to some natural light, but the higher cave (Tham Theung) is a deep, dark cave, & a torch (flashlight) is needed there. A long flight of stairs carved into the face of the cliff, leads to the upper cave. I didn’t bother going up. I’m claustrophobic, so I’m not exactly a cave person at the best of times. (I have seen much better caves in other destinations anyway.)
