had these wee cabins to rent & a swimming pond. A Lao tourist magazine warned that the road between Luang Prabang & Vang Vieng was "not recommended for nervous persons" adding vaguely that "there may be issues", meaning, breakdowns, punctures, ambush by Hmong bandits, or driving off the barrier-free road down a vast ravine, for starters etc. But we didn't see any of that & it wasn’t that bad, really. I sat at the front & didn’t even sh– myself LOL
