Top terrace
Sightseeing in Siem Reap/Angkor picture - The top terrace, which is about 20m above ground level & measuring 42m by 36m, has suffered a number of slides. What remains is a small part of the gopuras with their central tower, & two wings with sculpted walls. The corner towers have been razed, as have almost all of the north & west gopuras. The base walls, though powerfully moulded, are not sculpted. The 3 passageways on the east side of the monument are served by steep stairs. Apparently, fantastic bas reliefs decorate the four entrances to the internal gallery, but I missed them wahhhhh
