The Angkor Thom Gates, particularly the south gate, are good examples of the Jayavarman head, a motif that is seen throughout this temple area. Note the partial ruins of the god Indra sitting atop a three-headed elephant statue (one of four) gathering lotus flowers. This gate was restored between 1944 &#38; 1946. </div></nolayer></noembed>
