Just stay next to the Great Pyramid… In that moment you will realize how small and without relevance we are…. A huge mountain of rocks amazingly fitted, with no cement, no iron tools, no cranes was build thousands years ago. If Taj Mahal amazed me through splendor, Pyramids let me without breath. No human race or at least a known one could build this. That is the thought that came in my mind. And stays there. Then I stepped inside the Pyramid. The silence… There is only silence there. The great corridor, the tinniest so called “King room” compared with the pyramid size simply confirm to me that no Pharaoh’s people build this. Simply they couldn’t. And the pyramid keeps still its secrets. Peace… that is what you feel inside. Peace with yourself, you’re drained of all your negative thoughts, you’re you again…. II stayed in front of the Sphinx, I tried to see where he’s looking, there where something behind the horizon will come in one day to claim what they build… But in front of Sphinx is the city, with its beautiful old architecture, with misery of new neighbors, with thee City of Dead, with all chaos of streets, with its own people that think the only purpose of them is to lute the tourists… Have a walk on Cairo’s area build at the beginning of the century and you will get a glimpse of splendor that was Cairo once… now just shadows. In old Cairo leave the main alleys filled with all idiotic souvenirs shops and greedy storekeepers and soak yourself along with others in the Bazaar (the real one) alleys where a kilometer long alley takes one hour to pass it. There are so many… A beautiful trip if you can ignore the people, tour guides (never ask their service, simply they will tell you nonsense’s and ask for tips), the prices, the “tourist places”, etc… There are hours to talk about it but I will stop. If you can go there….
