The Fishing industry here is one of the most important in Cambodia. Over 2 million people live on or around the lake. It is big business as fishing earns millions of dollars. In fact, fish are so significant that the Cambodian monetary unit, the Riel, is named after the small fish that are used by the millions for fish paste & animal feed.
