Molesworth Station, Marlborough, is New Zealand's largest cattle station and farm park. It covers an area of 180,476 hectares ( 500,000 acres ) Molesworth is remote,vast and timeless where conservation,farming and recreation work successfully together. Farming commenced in the 1860's and the old stock route between Canterbury and Nelson traversed this vast country. Only cattle are farmed now and total approx 10,000 .
