April 5-12th, 2009, I made a 3 day visit to New York City and spent 4 days in Washington, DC.
For the first time in many years, I traveled to Washington, DC to photograph the cherry blossoms around the Tidal Basin. Alas, I missed the height of the blossom season by about a week. While there were still some blossoms to be seen, the combination of time, wind, and rain had eliminated many of the blossoms. I still got some photos but not what I was hoping for.
