The trip to Kelantan the Land of Full Moon was an eye opener for some. Being an Islamic opposition state in Malaysia, the Land of Full Moon is the state where many foreigners shy away from visiting. Coming from Perak, I followed almost the same route to Kelantan and Terengganu last year and was pleasantly surprised by what I saw in those states.

Since then, I've always asked my friends to go there for an alternative view and your article only serves to further strengthen that conviction.

Hi Forest, good sharing of info. Pantai Sabak was once a very nice place to visit due to it's colourful fishing boat (perhaps the best colour fishing boat you can find in Malaysia), but it is no longer there since the beach erosion and fishing boat has moved further in to one of the villages.

Not sure if the temple you visited is the "nine snake head" temple which i missed on my last trip due to time contraint, it's one of the famous chinese-siam temple located upper north of Kelantan, near Thai border. It has a "siam-buddha" statue with nine snake head...
