This hike is in the Jedediah Smith Wilderness, west of Grand Teton National Park. We started the hike by riding the chairlift at Grand Targhee Resort to the top of Fred's Mountain. Even though the resort is in western Wyoming the only way to get there is a 12 mile drive from Driggs, Idaho. The wilderness area was set aside for it's unique karst landscape.
