Birikaa Ole Kereto, Laiboni of the District of Ngorongoro, filmed, photographed and consulted by many head of states.

Ever since my friend Maggie told me that her uncle was a well known Laiboni (Medicinman, Shaman)from the Maasai, I was eager to know him, so I started sending out some mental messages. She had not seen him for 30 years, when an old friend Saningo, told her that her uncle had been seen not far from Arusha, I told her that I wanted to go and find him. It turned out that he was visiting the boma of another laiboni, Saningo´s uncle. We drove down to different bomas, and finally we found the boma of Saningo´s uncle. We drove towards the centre, where an old man was sitting, Saningo greeted him respectfully and introduced him as being his uncle. Not long after that another old man came walking towards us, looked at Maggie (Onaipanoi)and said in Ma (Maasai language): "I felt my blood is here", then he looked at me and said: "You are calling me" Maggie looked at me and wondered when she translated what he said. I told her, yes, I wanted to meet him. Then he told her: "She does not need me, she has the same gifts as I have, she just does not use them". We drank fresh milk, which was shaken in a calabash and looked like joghurt. Stories were exchanged between the relatives, I made my photo´s and then Maggie asked her uncle to throw the stones for her, which he did then for both of us. I must say: "Quite shocking, how precise the information was, which he gave to us". Anyway from that time, her uncle and I communicated mentally and ... it worked. During my long drives from Arusha, where I worked as a consultant at an International School, to Dar es Salaam, I used to feel him sit beside me, to make sure I got home safe.
