Himalayan Poppy (Meconopsis)<br> Vancouver Island picture - Captain Bailey found the blue poppies in Tibet and sent them on to the Edinburgh Botanical Garden. When he met Mrs. Butchart, he bet her he had a flower that was not in her garden. She then showed him the poppies--for the original seed had been given to her by the garden in Edinburgh!
