I met Saningo through a friend and he invited us to his house outside Arusha, past the imaginary line where the "fake Maasais" live (he told me. The Fake Maasais are the people from Arusha who walk around in Maasai dress for the tourists. So, past that line one goes into Maasai territory, he was born and has grown up there in a hut, being bright he was sent to school and became an educated man, living now in the US, but .... every year he has to come back to Maasailand, to be a Maasai.

He has build a cute house, which fits in the scenery of the boma of his family, he has cattle and he has grown corn and vegetables. In the eyes of the family he is a rich man and most probably he takes care of them financially, I did not ask.
