Much like the Nazis, the Khmer Rouge felt compelled to document what they did here, so the prison population was carefully catalogued & photographed. Upon arrival at the prison, prisoners were photographed & were required to give detailed autobiographies beginning with their childhood & ending with their arrest. The metal neck brace used to hold subjects' heads in place for the admitting photograph is on display.
