I made my way gingerly into Uganda from Kenya. Gingerly meaning the packet of gingernuts I found in a local market in Jinja, the town at the source of the magnificent Nile on the shores of Lake Victoria. It was great to be back in ex-English colonies, where Marmite and other Anglo-standards were readily available.
