This photo journal, the first of two Kuala Kangsar journals, features the royal quarter in Peraks royal city of Kuala Kangsar. The royal quarter includes the royal mosque & three palaces (istanas) - Istana Ulu (1903), the Ubudiah Mosque (1917), Istana Iskandariah & Istana Kenangan (both built in 1926).
