We'd never heard of the Lynn Canal. Now that we cruised it we won't soon forget it.

First of all, the Lynn Canal is not a canal. It's an inlet into the mainland of southeast Alaska. During the Klondike Gold Rush it was a major route to the boom towns and then to the gold fields. It is the deepest fjord in North America, one of the deepest and longest in the entire world.
