All of our previous travels have been out west so in late June we drove east through New England. I regret not going sooner as we had a wonderful time both car-camping and hoteling it all the way to the Maine coast. On this trip we didn't bring cooking gear so even while in a campground we would make our way to the town or little hamlet for coffee, breakfast, lunch, dinner, drinks, or whatever. Not roughing it too much. We ate and drank quite well. Enjoy this ramble, we will be back.
