For this, the second annual Clara-kidnapping weekend, we went to Bodie State Historic Park and Devil's Postpile National Monument on Saturday, after driving all afternoon on Friday. On Sunday we drove to Mono Lake, only to find our canoe tour was canceled for the second consecutive year due to wind. Last year the winds reached hurricane force levels, but this year the fastest gusts were projected at a mere 30 miles per hour.
