- This big & beautiful statue is inside the long library. It's probably over 6-7 ft. tall depicting a very slender & pretty queen though Queen Anne was actually a very short, stout, & average-looking woman! *Once again, John Churchill's wife, Sarah, was a long-time good friend of Queen Anne. And that's why the queen didn't have any reservation with building this fabulous palace for them. But as the old saying goes, "your good friend can also become your worst enemy." And so, the couple spent some time abroad "in exile" when Sarah fell out of favor with Queen Anne. On the other hand, friends do patch up again no matter what & so, Sarah had this beautiful statue built after Queen Anne passed-away.
