The little island of Paxos is an hour south of Corfu, by hydrofoil. The island is only around 5 miles long and has 3 main centres, all on the eastern side of the island - the west coast has steep limestone cliffs and caves. The main town is Gaios, Lakka is a small resort at the north and in between the 2 is Loggos, a small picture postcard fishing port. There are a few small inland villages scattered around the island.
