Tortuguero National Park is on the Atlantic coast of Costa Rica and it is the nesting ground of Atlantic green turtles. There is no road that goes to the park. One has to either travel by small plane or by boat. We traveled by boat. The town is very small with about 1400 population. The whole area is very rustic, not for comfort-seeking tourists.
